Broccoli Ingredients
- 1 large head broccoli cut into 1-inch florets, about 4 cups
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt plus more to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper plus more to taste
- 1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes optional
- 1 wedge fresh lemon for serving, optional
Wash and thoroughly dry the broccoli. Cut into evenly sized 1-inch florets to ensure even cooking.
In a large mixing bowl, toss the broccoli florets with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes if using. Make sure each piece is lightly coated.
Preheat the air fryer to 360°F if your model requires preheating.
Arrange the broccoli in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd. Cook for 6 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking for even browning.
Remove once the edges are golden brown and slightly crispy. Serve immediately with a squeeze of fresh lemon if desired.
For extra crispy broccoli, make sure it is completely dry before tossing with oil. Avoid overcrowding the basket to allow proper air circulation. If using a Ninja air fryer, check at the 5-minute mark since some models cook faster.
