- 3 to 4 pieces Boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tbsp Olive oil for brushing
- to taste Salt and pepper to season the chicken
Sauce Ingredients
- 1/4 cup Brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Water
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Ground black pepper
Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly spray a baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
Brush both sides of the chicken with olive oil and season generously with salt and pepper.
In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, water, garlic powder, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
Place chicken in the baking dish and pour the sauce evenly over the top.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
For extra sauce, double the ingredients. This recipe also works with boneless chicken thighs. Pair with rice, mashed potatoes, or roasted vegetables for a full meal.
