Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 pieces Boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil for brushing
  • to taste Salt and pepper to season the chicken

Sauce Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Water
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Ground black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly spray a baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Brush both sides of the chicken with olive oil and season generously with salt and pepper.
  • In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, water, garlic powder, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  • Place chicken in the baking dish and pour the sauce evenly over the top.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra sauce, double the ingredients. This recipe also works with boneless chicken thighs. Pair with rice, mashed potatoes, or roasted vegetables for a full meal.
