  • 4 burger buns

Instructions
 

Prepare the Patties:

  • In a mixing bowl, gently combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Shape into 4 equal patties, making a small indentation in the center of each patty.

Cook the Patties:

  • Heat a skillet or grill to medium-high heat.
  • Cook patties for 3-4 minutes per side for medium doneness. Add cheese during the last minute of cooking.

Make the Sauce:

  • Whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and pickle relish in a small bowl. Set aside.

Toast the Buns:

  • Lightly butter the buns and toast them on the skillet or grill until golden.

Assemble the Burger:

  • Spread the burger sauce on the bottom bun.
