Main Ingredients
- 8 oz angel hair pasta
- 2 tbsp butter unsalted preferred
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 2 cups chicken broth or vegetable broth
- 1 cup whole milk or half-and-half
- 0.75 cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for about one minute until fragrant, not browned.
Pour in chicken broth and milk. Stir to combine. Add the uncooked angel hair pasta and bring to a gentle simmer.
Cook the pasta, stirring occasionally, until tender and most of the liquid is absorbed. This should take about 10 minutes.
Remove the pan from heat. Stir in Parmesan cheese gradually until melted and the sauce becomes creamy.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve immediately with optional toppings or sides.
For extra richness, use half-and-half instead of milk. Add cooked chicken, shrimp, or vegetables to make it a full meal. Leftovers keep well for up to three days in the fridge.
