Equipment

  • Skillet
  • Wooden Spoon

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 8 oz angel hair pasta
  • 2 tbsp butter unsalted preferred
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth or vegetable broth
  • 1 cup whole milk or half-and-half
  • 0.75 cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for about one minute until fragrant, not browned.
  • Pour in chicken broth and milk. Stir to combine. Add the uncooked angel hair pasta and bring to a gentle simmer.
  • Cook the pasta, stirring occasionally, until tender and most of the liquid is absorbed. This should take about 10 minutes.
  • Remove the pan from heat. Stir in Parmesan cheese gradually until melted and the sauce becomes creamy.
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve immediately with optional toppings or sides.

Notes

For extra richness, use half-and-half instead of milk. Add cooked chicken, shrimp, or vegetables to make it a full meal. Leftovers keep well for up to three days in the fridge.
