Ingredients

  • 1 package of refrigerated biscuits 8 count
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage crumbled
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt to taste
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

Preheat Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Biscuit Crust:

  • Open the package of biscuits and separate the individual biscuits. Press each biscuit flat into a 12-inch pizza shape on a baking sheet, leaving a small crust around the edges.

Bake Biscuit Crust:

  • Place the biscuit crust into the oven and bake for about 10 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and set aside.

Make the Sausage Gravy:

  • In a large skillet, cook the crumbled breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned. Remove the sausage and set aside. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the flour and cook for about 1 minute, stirring constantly. Slowly whisk in the milk and heavy cream until the mixture thickens. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (optional). Stir in the cooked sausage and continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.

Assemble the Pizza:

  • Once the biscuit crust is baked, spoon the sausage gravy evenly over the crust. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top and return the pizza to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Garnish and Serve:

  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped green onions for a fresh, colorful finish. Slice and serve immediately.
